My cat

So last night, I came home and my cat was at the door, waiting to run inside. I thought he would run to the front door, but he ran downstairs towards my room.
This was my reaction. "Idiot!"
So I now call my cat idiot. It's harsh, but quite funny actually.

"Idiot dont get on my bed yet!"
"look what Idiot did yesterday"
"Idiot get out of my drawer!"
"Idiot watch the movie!"

The Greatest Thing

So I found a quote from one of the talks I was reading. Here it is,
When you tell a filthy story,
Do you ever stop to think
What impression you have made upon the crowd?
Do you think the boys enjoy it?
Do you think because they laugh
That you have sufficient reason to be proud?
Do you know that you exhibit
All that is within your soul,
When the filthy story passes from your tongue?
It reveals your own defilement,
It proclaims your ignorance,
It disgusts all decent boys who love real fun.
Do you think that you exhibit
Any real common sense,
When you show the crowd how rotten is your mind?
Do you know that you dishonor
Both your parents and your friends?
Think it over, boy, and that is what you’ll find.
Be a little choice in language;
Be a little more refined,
If respect of those around you you would win.
You will have a great advantage
Over those who are inclined
To go through life in filth and slime and sin.

And I just thought: "holy crap! If only every guy at my school could read this!"
I go to highschool and many of the things you hear in the hall are vulgar or dirty, and I just wonder how much something small like this could change some things. If you think about it, it could change quite a lot.

What do you think?

Thoughts

So tonight I was reading, and the book said something like this:
"his head was as white as an egg"
So this is what I pictured.

Then I thought: Well if it was really an egg couldn't they color it with a crayon to make him tan?
And I pictured this.

I don't know where it came from, but I thought of that.

Fall break

So its fall break right now... and I must say, its really boring. So far all I have done:
Read
Sit and play on the computer
Painted my toenails with Amanda
Sat at the computer more
Looked random things up
Play with my blog and add those little fishies that are off to the side
and last of all: cooked food that was actually good.

I'm glad that I don't have school right now, but I am bored out of my mind!

Do Not Despair

Technology is really a great thing these days! There is a Gospel Library app and it has so many things! It has church magazines that go all the way back to 1971, general conference talks that go back to 1974, things like that.
Last night I was reading one of those talks. It was called Do Not Despair: by Ezra Taft Benson. I don't know why I chose that one... but as I was reading it I looked at the title, and I didn't remember choosing it. But I definitely needed to read this one.
He talks about ways to get over trials, and how to become a more positive, happy person. He mentioned a lot of things that help. Here are some of them.
Repentance
Prayers
Service
Work
Health
Reading
Blessings
Fasting
Friends
Music
Endurance
Goals

This talk was just great! I would highly recommend you look it up and read it.
