Recently I have especially felt like this. I am just one person, totally unimportant to the world. Now I am going to give you a little test.
How many of these people do you know?
Michael Bublé |
Justin Bieber |
Albert Einstien |
Martin Luther King |
Adolf Hitler |
Bob Marley |
The point of that is to explain the following.
You may not have changed the world like them, or been famous like them. To the world you may just be another person, (prepare for my religious-ness) but to God, you are SO important.
I was reading some conference talks and found these.
"I know I was sent down here at this time, being the most evil time, because I am strong and can resist temptation."
"I know I occupy a bright spot in the Lord's plain. As a young woman/man, I am blessed with the opportunity to become a mother/father someday."
'While this generation will be comparable in wickedness to the days of Noah, when the lord cleansed the earth by flood, there is a major difference this time: it is that God has saved for the final Inning some of his strongest children, who will help bear off the kingdom triumphantly"
The last one is my favorite. Read it two or three times more. "God has saves some of his strongest children." Who says we are not important? We are all here at this time because we can do what is right. We are strong enough to do what is right. After reading that, It makes me want to be better. To do better.
Don't you?
i think its really interesting that you didn't just post pictures of "positive" popular people. i guess it just goes to show that being popular doesn't always mean one is a good person. as john bytheway says, "its better to be RESPECTED than to be POPULAR."
ReplyDeletei really struggle with caring about what others think. i know, however, that it only matters what God thinks.
